What is Botox?

How does Botox work?

A tiny amount of Botox® is injected into specific muscles and blocks impulses from the nerve which makes them contract. Because the muscles relax, undesired frown lines and wrinkles are significantly reduced. This treatment only takes 10 minutes and most people return to normal activities immediately afterwards. Botox® should only be injected by an experienced injector who can make sure that the correct amount is injected in precisely the right places. Is the treatment safe?
